Code of Conduct¶
The canonical text lives in CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md in the repository. It is adapted from the Contributor Covenant.
Our pledge¶
As members, contributors and maintainers of depkeeper, we pledge to foster an open, welcoming, inclusive and harassment-free environment for everyone — regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race or caste, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
The goal is a community where contributors feel supported, heard, respected and safe.
Our standards¶
Behaviour that helps the community thrive
- Demonstrating empathy, respect and kindness
- Welcoming new contributors and supporting their learning
- Giving and accepting constructive feedback gracefully
- Taking responsibility and apologising when mistakes occur
- Focusing on what benefits the community as a whole
Unacceptable behaviour
- Sexualised language or imagery, and unwelcome sexual attention
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
- Public or private harassment
- Publishing another person's private information without explicit permission
- Any other conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
Scope¶
This Code of Conduct applies in all project spaces — the repository, issues, pull requests, discussions and any release channel — and whenever an individual is officially representing the project in a public space.
Enforcement¶
Maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards, and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behaviour they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive or harmful. They may remove, edit or reject contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, and will communicate the reasons when appropriate.
Report unacceptable behaviour privately to the maintainers via the repository's Security tab or a private discussion. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly, and the privacy and security of the reporter will be respected.
Enforcement follows the Contributor Covenant's escalation ladder: correction, warning, temporary ban, permanent ban.
